what does it taste like?

i watched seriously tired people

at the end of a day when a chill rain had moved in

still happy & for the love of it

put vast quantities of good food together

from cooking pots that take two people to lift

and more than one small child could hide inside

adjusting ingredients until thoroughly satisfied

before cleaning up again

the delivery van needs serious work

donations might cover some of it

more than 1000 hot meals a day

put into the hands of the hungry exiled

takes serious dedication

volunteers keep the kitchen running

in an industrial zone at the edge of a tough city

nothing gentle

nothing pretty

it is gritty

and messy

and

it looks

exactly

like love
